hi,
I'm trying to write XML datas from a flash projector. I'm using
newP = myXML.createElement("results");
myXML.appendChild(newP);Then I read I have to use a program like MDM FLASH STUDIO PRO. I have version 1.9.9, is it possible with that version?... if yes : how?
thks in advance

you know what? interesting you should post this, because I'm working with a group that wants to create the same type of thing, for desktops, flash based stuff.

not following you... You want to load xml to your flash based application? Or write xml from that same application?

yes, the second one anarchitect. User loads a stand-alone app, enter some datas in it (the flash), then the flash writes and save the datas in some XML file...
JazX, I'm glad for you.

I know absoltuely NOTHING about jsfl as I haven't had time to read up on it, but I think it might be some help with what you're looking for...

if you're successful with Flash to create your xml, then I can't help you, never worked with Flash Studio Pro...
you could also check this, maybe it'lll help.

i should have explained why the separate api. Flash has no means of writing to the filesystem without outside help.
By outside help, I mean you can use php, asp, etc to write to a server and call those scripts from flash, but that's not the local file system.
Also, there's been a couple flash wrapper apps for the desktop that give flash filewriting capability, but they cost to use and to license for distribution.
You could also put up $15k and get into Flex.
For now, I'd start with jsfl, if at least because people who actually know what their talking about (unlike me) seem to be buzzing about it a bit.

Come on now, I found this in 2 minutes on the MDM site. Read the manual!

ps - JSFL is for scripting the authoring environment only it's not run-time in any way.
