Just out of curiousity, what's the salary range for people in this field (working for a reputable firm)? I'm assuming it's more than interactive/ web design, but haven't heard any figures yet. When you see shit like this:
you've gotta think they're pullin' in some pretty big $$.

I'm a motion designer as well.
It really depends on the firm you work, some pay well and some don't.
I use all after effects and C4D but will be training on the Flame for the next year.

Yeah I love AE but the guy i'm teaming up with is all Flame and Digital Fusion so it's time for me to learn it.

i know a lot of people doing motion stuff and their pay range from the best paid getting 10X the lower paid.. so i think it heps where you work.

well, ALL this stuff could be said for designers doing interactive... or print... motion...or anything really...
I wonder, on AVERAGE, which medium pays the best.

From a personal standpoint, in the past working in print, interactive and now doing motion full-time, I get paid the best doing motion.

It all depends witch client is paying. The music industry is paying bad but its the most joyfull to work on. The government is paying fucking great but its rather boring.
btw Motion takes a lot of time. More than print, so its normal that you'll get paid more for.
