and the psychological implications ....

MAGENTA
most romantic of all reds, enchanting, sensitive yet optimistic
as a tint the best smelling of all colors
a poor choice for relaying technical info
more shocking than practical
more right brain than left
- _salisae_0
AMBER
fertile, prosperous, content, abundant comfort
can be used in large quantities
very cozy and nostalgic as a tint
expensive
buddhist priests wear it to symbolize serenity and abundance

LEAF GREEN
healthy, clean, fat-free, very dependable, suburbia, safe, secure, nonthreatening, self-confident, into self improvement
go
grow
all clear
life giving

CYAN
intellectual
emotionally cold
analytical

VIOLET
a great substitute for black
seriously quiet
reflective
insightful
meditative soul-searching thought
mature yet slightly shy
it is the end of the true light spectrum

just cover those eyeballs in your pretty little head if you're not interested.
SKY BLUE
most honest of hues
most selected as the favorite color of the male gender all over the world

WHITE
Racists punks, fat people, colonial butchers, crazy bastards, etc.
;)

you two picked the colors that are not on his list. so i guess that rounds it out.
people should be aware of what they are communicating with color.
GREY
most indecisive color
not on his list either - just an aside
- _salisae_0
son! we're talking color here.
he he - just playin
YELLOW
first color babies see
favorite color by children all over the world b/c it means excitement - adventure
as a process color tends to be transparent so it is frequently printed last instead of first to take advantage of this and its permanence
color of curiosity
best color to use in a kitchen because it does not reduce efficiency like the glare that white does

TEAL
most left brained of all hues
intuitive aesthetic
not always present in america unless exploration is being done or good times are prevalent
extremely creative
- blaw0
when house shopping i looked at a house with a yellow kitchen.
the countertop was so bright that the basket of bananas sitting on it looked pale.
too "adventurous" for my tastes. in fact, the kitchen i put in our house is a beautiful "indecisive" gray. :)
- blaw0
left-brained and creative is contradictory, no?
- fate0
a truly creative right brained person would be tricky, and then think with the LEFT side! Hence Teal being outside the box...of your mind!

misprint -
(i) creamy (/i) yellow is the best neutral to use in large quanity in kitchen
- _salisae_0
dunno about the contradiction with teal. :(
new colors:
pinkle - an aged rose reminiscent of vintage velvet
frond - a tropical green
silger - a techno-engineered hybrid of gold and silver

apparently - if you find a color that hasn't put in a tour of duty during the past 20 years and give it a new look - chances are excellent that it has the potential to succeed as an attn getting color
black conveys uncertainty
