the first one i was joking. the second i was not. no way i'm looking at death at 10am.
just trying to lighten the mood a bit. don't remember it being so somber when a couple planes hit some buildings in the u.s. this i guess somehow is different.

thanks for the warning.....
I had friends that died that day and almost lost my dad 92nd floor...they had problems with financing the rent a week before and he and his partner were supposed to start there again within the month....his partner was supposed to meet with the rental company and got sick that morning ...and my dad had went back to his other job.......the whole floor was wiped out no one from the company survived.....one week difference.....
My ex-gf worked on the 13th floor and happened to wake up late....
My neighbor across the street just had the block named after him...no need to say more...
My friends mother....gone...my ex-gf's close friends sister gone....
I know we all say things in jest.... because we really dont know how to handle it.....but I am glad we are kind of keeping it to a min.
We seem to all have friends that were in the area of this tragedy....living or vacationing.....I am glad no one is being a real jackoff

yeah ..... and a friend of mine....almost forget this one... came out of the train....saw the first plane hit....... worked on wall street....got back on the train....and went home immediately......
he was summarily fired because he didnt show up to work and he now works as a limo driver.....since that point somehow he has been blacklisted in the stock community......

Here in Sweden everything is focused around the swedish casualties and missing persons. Everyone else is just a number.
It's sick, i understand why we tend to focus like that and apparently we seem to have most people in the area except from natives but is it the same in your countries?

well I am worried about my friends from the US that lives there and then their families....who are locals....and I am very upset that this actually happened at all....
I guess its family, friends, countrymen, then world concern....
only natural I guess but my friends have told me what they saw and it is not something anyone would want to hear..... the pics in this thread are close but dont show as much death...

MLVR, yep it's exactly like that in the UK too. I mean, compare 12 british dead to 52,000. Makes you think.

satelite photos here. amazing how far the tide was pulled back just before the waves hit.

question... how was there a satelite over that beach at that exact time..? Not shouting conspiracy here but seems amazingly coincidental.

"The earthquake came just three days after a magnitude 8.1 earthquake in a completely uninhabited region west of New Zealand's sub-Antarctic Auckland Islands, and north of Australia's Macquarie Island This would normally be unusual, since earthquakes of magnitude 8 or more typically occur an average of once per year. Seismologists have speculated about a possible connection between these two earthquakes, saying that the former one might have been a catalyst to the Indian Ocean earthquake, as the two quakes happened on opposite sides of the Indo-Australian tectonic plate. Coincidentally, the earthquake struck almost exactly one year (within an hour) after a magnitude 6.6 earthquake killed an estimated 30,000 people in the city of Bam in Iran"
Its also being said that the earthquake shock the earth off its axis momentarely.
