Ok... I know peeps are going boarding next week....
Anyone want to hook up.... either Hunter, Camelback, or Mtn. Creek?
- liquid0
I think people on the east coast are boring people....absolutely truly boring....
While we are watching E! and OLN saying "hey that would be cool" someone else is doing it...
Everyone here just wants to go out drinking and then wake up the next day at 4pm... so exciting....
I think I have made up my mind.... I'm moving....don't know how yet... but I don't care...

hahaha,
liquid, can't do next week, i am flying out to a far country. how about after the holidays?
- liquid0
dude....
after Jan 1 would be awesome....lets do something interesting....
far country?
- tkmeister0
flying to tokyo. i was trying to see if i can go Nagano to snowboard while i am over there. but looks like that's nearly impossible with this schedule.
i'd go like Mt. Snow or somewhere. resorts around the city kinda sucks... you know?
are you thinking about taking the paragon bus to go up there or drive yourself?
- ********0
it's sh*t, the Appalachians are too damn worn out
- liquid0
I drive..... need to get a roof rack though....unless only 2 boards and only 2 people...... 4 people can fit in my car that arent fat w/o boards.....and not phat.....I mean FAT... one dude busted my axel....and then blew out my shocks......
so whatever man......
- tkmeister0
you ride in parks or just freeride?
- liquid0
I would guess I would freeride .....this is the first year I bought a pass...... I know what my issue is.... I have too small a board with too big a feet....catch a toe edge all the time.... too be honest I suck.... but I dont plan on sucking for long.... I dont like park except jumps which I have yet to do....
I have this crazy fear of face planting on a rail.....although I am dumb enough to try it....as soon as I can handle it....freeriding looks more appealing to me
what do you ride?
side question...gonna buy a new board.... 159 or 163? I am at a loss..... 5'10 205lb 11.5 boot..
- tkmeister0
mainly, i just chill on the slope and hunt snow bunnies then have a hot chocolate.
just kidding, i am a speed freak so you will find me ripping snow.
i got salomon board 163.
I'd go with 163 if i were you, but that's just me. if you gonna spend a lot of time on parks doing tricks, then 159 may be easier. also depends on which board you are getting.

you have described me to a tee, liquid
- vwsung18t0
set a date, i'll go with y'all
- dcdomain0
Thinking about quitting, so I'm gonna call in sick tomorrow and go to Camelback with some friends. There's a bright light at the end of this long ass day...
- liquid0
AAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY
tk we arent alone...... vw and dc are two more east coasters
could it be a trend...not that I don't love going out west to see jevad, hic, etc... but it would be nice not to have to travel 1600+ miles to do anything remotely interesting....
hey dc when you going tomorrow.......I didnt even bother looking at camel cause I already have a pass to creek.....
tk are you my size though? is it easier to make nice turns with a 163...I dont plan on park stuff too much...I want to get into powder ...hopefully
- tkmeister0
i'm 6' 180lb. i have no problem with 163. it's really a nice ride.
liquid,
once i started to ride west, it's hard to ride crappy slopes on the east coast. honestly, i'd rather spend my money out west than here. especially when i can fly there for like $200.i mean, when i go to hunter, it takes like 20min to get up to the top, then 3 min to go down... that's just too short, u know?
- liquid0
k you made up my mind for the size....
yeah I would love to go out west but to be honest I aint got the dough like that... I need to hustle for the new year...I am trying to get out to jevads place in vail... I got a chica I could bring with me... just waiting for teh okay from nic...
btw... whats your name...mine is ken...
and with hunter.... put it this way..... it would take me about an hour to get down cause I suck... lol...but I dont give a rats ass.....
either way if you want to go anywhere when you get back give me a holla through email..

try demos and see if you like it first. i think the feel is very different based on different materials and companies. also that affects how you feel about the length.
before i got this board, i was riding 158. switching to 163 was scary at first. but i got used to it very quickly. if you are still a beginner, you may feel more in control with a shorter board.

liquid... buy the 163... you sound like a big dude.
I'm 6'1 - 180lbs I like to stick in the 163-165 range... nothing smaller.
fuck... my current rock beater board is a 169.5... can't wait to toss that noodle aside and get my regular stick out.
- liquid0
I thought a bigger board would be easier..... plus my feet are too big for a small board.....
- 2cent0
bigger board provides better stability when you straight line it... also allows you to float above the powder better with less leg strain from having to lean back.
bigger board is also less forgiving and come up out of no where and bite you... quick catch of an edge and and you body slammed to the ground. you also may find a bigger board a bit harder to turn at first but you'll adjust quick.
My 169 is strictly an early season rock board so i can go anywhere without worrying about a core shot to good deck... which currently is a Forum Elite 165, have Forum Team 164 in my reserve as well.

2cent,
how's whistler this season?
