Anyone else having trouble with their ipod screen? I've had my ipod for a year and 3 months and I have to turn my contrast up all the way to be able to see the text on the screen. When I turn the backlight on it helps a little. Anyone know what might be causing the problem or have any solutions?

wow..that just started happening to me last week. it seems to fix it if i leave it charging for a long time, but then the screen burns out again. weird.

F an iPod. I've had mine for about 4 months and it's already taken a shite on me. I've got the curse of the etarnal Apple logo startup screen;
- Turn on iPod
- Stare at Apple logo startup screen.
- Continue to start in amazment as iPod restarts itself every 15 sec. until battery dies, because I can't turn it offtried every restart, disc mode trick I can find. All I can do is let it die, charge it for 12 hours, reload all my music (because it dumps everything), get about 1-2 uses out of it, then the whole crappy cycle starts over... Everyone says "just turn it in for a new one" (which I am going to do) but I can't help but be disappointed in Apple when I read about how some people are on their 3rd and 4th iPods due to malfunctions...

a warning came up on mine :
"apple has just released a new ipod. this ipod will self destruct if you don't purchase a new one within 15 days. all hail apple."
