The Gza told me to diversify your stocks N!@# !

satellite radio is a good idea, that industry is going to explode.

hehehe... i would buy gold tkmeister but ain't flowing with money.
But yes mrdob, satellite radio will be the bomb. Howard Stern will move to Sirius radio so its good time to buy their shares.

Pixar and google r just damn expensive to buy.

sirius is trading at too high a p/e to get in now. they got a bounce after the howard stern announcement, but that's about it.
apple was looking very good, and may continue to for some time. it might be a little high now, but the price target is still higher than the trading price, and ipods look to continue to sell well for the next 2 or 3 years.
electronic arts is a winner, as is adobe and macromedia, flash applications may change the future of the software industry.
quiksilver has been doing well, but urban outfitters is tearing shit up. that's what happens when you sell a bunch stupid t shirts for $25.
pixar will continue to rise as they seem to just make blockbusters all the time. tivo might be poised to finally take off, but other technologies built-in by the cable companies might cut into their market.
verizon is a good bet now that the wireless industry is consolidating. they still have a larger network than cingular/att and with the sprint/nextel merger, it might drive some more customers their way.

plmo
play
ttwoat this moment, all good prices.
plmo is palmOne should go to 46.?? again in Jan. Play makes chips for Apple once apple announces earnings in jan there stock will go up to. and ttwo makes great games for consoles ERTS is over priced.

Bentley Pharmaceuticals &
Generex BiotechnologyBoth hot as hell...spray insulin makers/suppliers.

Sirius might not be bad, I was also thinking about them. I have Macromedia and Sony Media stocks. Before Sony bought Sonic Foundry and before Sonic Foundry bought MediaSite, I have held on. That stuff is valuable now, considering the measly amount I piad for it initially, that's where you make your cash.
- JazX0
yeah well, a lot of people made sh*tloads in the .com boom. You just had to know when to say when.

No offense to all the smart designers out there, but this is the last place I would ask for stock tips.
But there are some good ones listed in here.
Buy Intel and Starbucks. Oh wait, that was '94, not '04.
- sparker0
maybe. but what casual invester knows when to say when?
- JazX0
true, but I don't think just because you are invloved in design and programming it makes you fiscally dumb. Take a look at the adverts and this site in general. I know plenty of design friends that are doing well from stocks
- sparker0
i agree. but, on average...a guy who invests casually will be less intune with the market to know when to pull his money out. and, brokers don't always have your best interest in mind.
it's not a case of being stupid. but, it does demand a bit of market understanding.
:)
which is why i don't do my own investing. my friend just happens to be a broker. so, i know he won't screw me...others maybe, but (probably) not me.
- JazX0
yep :)
- Mimio0
All short money is a risk. Half the time most brokers fall flat on their face and piss away your money. You can manage your own money and still get between 8-10% on it. It's not a science.
- cosmo0
well, yes if u invest without the knowledge of wat is going on then you r fu*ked. But i'm just trying to find out more and understand how everything works.
