Thinking about taking my car and drive to Berlin New year eve with my girlfreind.
Any local Berlin guys here?
Tell me if you think it a good or bad idea or what city close to copenhagen is cool for a new year trip?

where to stay is easy.
i've been here for a week, and it's a great place in the city center

was in berlin for new years in 99... fuck, what a party that was... kinda like a trial run for 00... it seemed like the whole country was at the brandenburg gates.

Best idea you ever had! But get a NICE room early, the city will be full of tourists (the ordinary guys, you know). And always stay in the eastern part of the city(fresh, young, underground, cheap - western part is the opposite), check out boroughs like PrenzlauerBerg(!), Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Need a party ? Ha, just step out inna the streets. You will find hundreds. Check www.berlin030.de for legal parties, www.tontransfer.de ("ausgehen") for illegal ones. by the way: kopenhagen-berlin by train is only 19 euros.

well the minilofts as suggested.
but circus hostel is nice as well (they do have apts and 2p. rooms). the weinbergsweg one is the best location to use though.

haha, Hotel Neues Tor and a website...
anyway, when i was in Berlin and arrived at Miniloft, it was overbooked.
so i had to sleep at Neues Tor near Miniloft.man, the beds, the smell, the curtains, the lamp, the phone, the view!
