What is the size ratio for a standard film? Notice I have no clue about anything revolving films of any sort. But I would like to pop one out here sometime soon.

common ratios are 4:3 for televisions, 16:9 or 2.35:1 for 35mm film depending on the lenses used. if thats your question.
A safe bet is to make it 720x480 pixels if you wanna put it on your tv... unless you're in europe then its 720x576...... hmm.. nevermind.

also a noob here when it comes to tv, but USA/Japan - NTSC vs the rest of the world PAL. You need this for your post production with premiere, after fx, fnal cut pro or whatever software you are planning to use. Check out simplydv.co.uk good tips.
