I have no fucking idea.
To be honest, this whole Chav thing was new to me since i started visiting NT. I remember my sister always spoked abuot Scallies in a similar way - but i thought she was just being racist towards poor white people. And then this book comes out, and these papers are full of "Chav" talk and i don't know what's what.

I'm glad someone else said it.
The whole chav stuff is as bad as the essex joke stuff when we kids, it's an acceptable way for the chattering classes to knock poor people.
If you transfer some of the abuse to any other social group it becomes unacceptable.
