radio-friendly.

Did the singer totally sound like he had just started puberty?
He's up there with the Third Eye Blind singer on the list of terrible live singers, heavily produced in the studio. Have you seen their DVD? I can't believe they put that out. Some of their old stuff is good, but the dvd is awful.

the original recording was actually: "if you're listening - you've-got-bad-taste-in-rock"
but the producer thought it wasn't catchy enough and had them lay the "whoo-oooh-oh-oh-oh" track over it.

Now now....
"Some of their old stuff is good"
'Clarity' is one of the most amazing albums of the 90's....

no acutally he sounded pretty tight live, so I don't know what you are talking about. And they didn't play to much off of their new album which was nice, I like it but it is a little to radio happy

i like the new cd. i saw them live back in sept. and they were awesome. and yes jevad, clarity was one of the best albums of the 90's

they should ahve called it a day after clarity - you can't top perfection.
- F_180
in some ways though, "furutres" is more mature than clarity in terms of subject and style. i do think it is a great cd. having said that, clarity has such raw emotion that it could never be duplicated. i look at the new cd as a good sequel to clarity. bleed american was just a fun diversion
- mg330
I do agree, Clarity is a fantastic album. Brings back many great college memories

Jimmy Sucks letterman

well said Jevad and F-18, Clarity is definitely their best album and I don't think anything will top it. That said, Futures is a fantastic CD and makes a great follow-up to Clarity. While I did find Bleed American to be decent at first, I don't really listen to it anymore unless it comes on random on iTunes or my iPod.
I've seen them live twice and both times they played really well. they sound even better live, IMHO. True they bring back college memories but for me that was only 2 years ago :P
