got lost in transition last week - jones kills it in that too.....

i think jeremy jones (rossignol) can kill any video, but i find myself more interested in jibbin and urban footage. chulksmack was good, but short.
if you want a good snowboarding video, i suggest anything by robot food, and i do prefer afterlame, this year's release by robot food. extremely good and few of the videos worth paying for.

haven't seen it yet, not sure i want to see Jib P Walker slashing handrail after handrail... pretty much over that shit... stupid, leave it for skaters... snowboarding is a mtn sport not and urban sport.
afterlame started out really strong and then fizzled out about halfway through... haven't seen POP yet but imo the Absinthe guys are kings of shred flicks hands down... and Romain always has the sickest part of the year.

im all around with boarding. getting urban and natural. the thing is, jp walker has been stereotyped as a "jib-only" ride when he really rips the backcountry. for example, his double corkscrew 7 he threw in shakedown was completely improvising in the bc.
pop got boring. 95% backcountry. but romain and travis rice stole the movie. and they have extra footage on just the gaps, which were amazing.

completely agree - all you fashion monkeys trying to out-jib each other in the park are welcome to it - means more mountain for me.....

you don't have to tell me that JP rips the backcountry... I've seen it first hand... I wouldn't say kills out there but he holds his own for sure.
rails are done... over it, its funny because skaters laugh their asses off at shredders that hit urban rails... imo it takes a fuckin ton more skill to drop a 30 footer while throwing a tre or guide your way through a tight chute with a 30 degree pitch.
you wanna slide something then hit the 100's of fallen trees all around you.

i sense a defensive tone? lol i never took sides. i just stated my position with snowboarding, and that its both urban and natural.
and yes it takes more balls to drop 30 footers, but whoever said snowboarding was about having balls...

sorry... i get a bit worked up about the urban crap... call me an old schooler i guess.
for me its all about steep lines, trees, drops, natural jibs and tons of pow-pow... don't get me wrong, when the pow dries up you might catch me taking the occasional park run... I gotta be pretty bored tho.

I've never even been in "real" powder.
:-( sad but true.
ps.
I liked Alterna's "Fsat Food" lots of backcountry there

(Dec 8 04, 13:29)"- Set your stance all the way back.
- Lean back, but no too much.
- And get ready to dig... dig like its no tomorrow... and have good venting in your gear... you'll know what i mean when the time arises.
But seriously... i'm an Ontario kid... rode out there for about 13 years and i picked up pow riding after a day.

Thats what I've heard. Since we grew up riding ice we take to powder like babies to nipples.

grew up skating , took surfing. just began boarding last year and both influence my riding on snow. skating takes the jibs and surf style down any hill.. all fun and games
