i have a few flv files from a client that i need to convert to *.mov or another similar video format that can brought into aftereffects. every time i try to export out the flv out of flash (mx 04), as quicktime or quicktime video, i get picture, but no sound, even though i am setting sound prefs to highest allowed... and when i go back to try to export again, the video settings are all cached, but sound settings are back to 'unspecified'...
what am i doing wrong...and how do i need to go about doing this.
any help appreciated.

plus it bogged the browser down considerably, and with no sound! so im game with *.mov's.

in order of ease:
1. have you tried sorenson squeeze? it may be able to import FLVs
2. also, could you make a SWF containing the FLVs, then import that in AE? i don't know if AE 7 supports flash video but it's worth a shot.
3. finally, you could use flash to export a bitmap sequence (or animated GIF if worse comes to worse), bring that into AE and use any number of tools like Audio Hijack or whatever to get the sound from the FLVs and bring that in as a wav.
hope one of those works!
