burton pioneered the suckers I think......
so yeah just burton.... capstrap is just that it fits over the tip of your fit rather then riding on top.....
but I never tried it......

yeah... MFM and Burton basically developed it at the exact some point and instead of fighting over the patent in court they decided to both own the patent so you can get toe-caps on Technine bindings and next year Forum as well.
I've seen next years toe-caps for Burton/Forum and they kick the shit out of this years so if I were you I would wait till then. Thos years are the first go at it and they've developed a better more minimal system made of better forming materials.... way less bulk and better hold.
You also have the option of buying the toe-caps on their own... you don't have to buy the entire Burton/Technine binding.
But if you ask me... fuck it all, keep it real with the old school toe breaker strap beeotch!

I have the cartels, slightly higher response than the missions and a much nicer highback. Super light and sweet color schemes.

what's the deal with next year's model that improves it? Not sure what more tech they could add to a buckle...or is it other binding upgrades as well?

hey D_Dot... where you at?, saw the 519 area code on your site... i was born in the 519... K-scrub represent!

its not the buckle but the toe-cap itself they've improved on.
the new one isn't bulky leather stiched to mold around your toe... the new one is more a flat strap made of leather around the edges and then the centre/inside area of the strap is a super tought synthetic somewhat strecty material that wraps and forms to the shape of your boot. the buckle has also been moved to the side of the binding a bit more to get rid of the bit of hang the current buckle creates.
