well, cause i just installed Thunderbird. Did you ever use Outlook 2003? The latest one? Cause Outlook 2003 was amazing. Thunderbird is just seeming so... well... oldschool. i dunno, i'll give Thunderbird a try, but Outlook 2003 had such cool sorting features, and awesome features for previewing new mail without reading it, etc. I was totally digging Outlook 2003.

I dunno, I never used 2003. I went from XP standard Outlook Express to Thunderbird with a newfound sense of security and well-being.

"I was totally digging Outlook 2003."
Why did you switch then??

i figured that Thunderbird would have taken the cool features from Outlook, but it looks like something from 2001.

It's a great app, but it does lack the first line preview that Outlook has got. I always hated that feature, personally, so no biggie for me, but your milage may vary. People have inquired about that in the past and apparently it would take a relatively significat modification to the code to enable this sort of thing so I don't expect it any time soon.
It's great at handling multiple accounts if that's important to you.

what i love about Outlook 2003 is when a new mail message arrives, it fades up a small notification in the bottom-right corner of the screen with the subject and the first line, and a delete button. if you get an e-mail you know you don't want, you simply click the delete btn. if you do want it, you dont click anything and it goes way. i love it. also the way it organizes the e-mails. it's not just a big list of the e-mails sorted by date or subject, it groups them with headers, etc. it's very, very nice, in my opinion
