i don't like any of them but # 1...
balance it...keep the typeface, but darken the grey and try to strengthen the gold...
maybe rotation like someone else said would help...
i think you should move the Q to the front of the word, but still leave the whole word after it...(similar to #6, but with the whole word i the nice sans type)
my opinions

Unlike most of the people here, I'm not really feeling #1. It seems a bit unbalanced to me, the typeface is nice, but the logomark just doesnt feel right. Nothing about it says financial institution to me either.
#5 in my opininon is the strongest, the mark evokes an image of handshaking, and the typeface has a prestigious feeling, yet is friendly/inviting. I'd like to see some variations on this mark - with different colors & serif typefaces.

3 lacks confidence, the brush stroke looks like it was too slow and deliberate and the colours are depressing me.
I like the look of 5 but it looks like qb, and I think you could find a more elegant typeface, that one is a bit clumsy. Best layout though.

1 is somehow very good

#5 gets my vote.

I like one and six. For almost the same reasons as rob

I like 1 & 5 - I would recommend darkening the gray on the 1st on to make the mark stronger. 5 is also a strong mark but again I would use a darker blue - or darker color in general - the light color is to modern and techy looking - for a financial institution you want to convey reliability where darker colors are generally used.

1) the grey may be too faint, causing the gold color to look like a sickle. i like the typeface though
2) reminds me too much of the Bahamas logo
3) Looks like the logo is throwing up blood
4) looks like a cross between a sickle and a "?". typeface seems to progressive for a financial institution.
5) i like this one the best out of these 6 concepts. typeface seems to fit the "financial" market better than the others. logomark reminds me of 2 people greeting each other, which is good for this market. i like the colors too.
6) too similar to #1. same comments from #1. i don't like logos that use a symbol for a letter of the logo either. can lead to confusion, especially for foreign people, not used to the english language, who might take the name of the company as "uaesta".

Yeah I am leaning towards 1 myself
I appreciate that alot

I was leaning towards 5, but on second look prefer no 1.
Very clean, and that Q lends itself to be a very nice device to be used on it's own...
Strong work.

thanks to all for the positive comments
Still waiting on client feedback

i also totally disagree with everyone on 5..
it looks to "design-trendish" and doesn't say anything to me.

i like #1... needs to be crisp and clear.
the worst are 3 and 4.

i'm diggin 5 too. i like how there is some interaction between the mark, it's like how financial service like to think they operate with customers. i dig the serif type, it's a nice contrast to the mark. maybe do some more variations on the mark now. kind of hard to immediately notice it as a "q". solid.

5 is the strongest by far. I would make the typeface bolder to ground the logo better. That version of the logo is really nice, btw.

1 and 6 is too much vodafone for me, 2 and 5 is too smart interweb logoish, 3 is too 80's for me...
but i like number 4
