I may be wrong but it seems like web designers are the last people to get rich on the internet. Like someone with a Geocities site or Yahoo store is way more likely. It just seems weird that the people who are most familiar with the technology aren't the ones making $. Anyone here ever made big $ on the web besides designing sites?

haha. I was wondering if anyone was really making $ on the web these days. It's funny we know how to build effective sites, shopping carts, search engines, marketing, etc but are not using them to our advantage. I guess what's really important is the idea behind it. That E-bay business sounds nice. Funny story too. I would like to have a nice wholesale product I could consistently sell there.

Mainly CD's DVD's etc. He basically goes round all the discount stores/industial pawn shops and sets up deals with them to take loads of CD's every week - then flogs em individually on ebay...I'm sure I should be taking a cut!

I have like 8 ideas. All of which require heavy programming which I don't have time for.
5 for profit. 3 non profit.
None of the 5 are guaranteed to be profitable all though I think a couple of them definitely could be.

(Not going to go into other professions that deserve more money)
