yo peeps:
i try to trace bitmap of this 1280x960 image and it hangs and freezes half way through every time. what's the dealio?

how are you trying to do it? what program?

try tracing it in illustrator. you'll have to export the tracing as illustrator legacy eps version 3 to get the best results, but it's much faster and won't lock up on you

trace it in hand instead, flash, freehand and every other tracing app/plugin doesn't do it nearly as good you can yourself, ofcause it take longer time, but the result in the end is much better in the end

yeah I wouldn't do it in flash, but there has already been a thread today about people who prefer it. I'm sure you can do it, but i don't think its ideal

well, you will have to learn to have patience if you wanna work with vector illustrations..
flash is no easy way out.. it just spits out crappy shapes like the one you already have on your site.. no offence..

i dont want to do vectors, i have to, it's for school. and it's due friday. and im through caring about it and want it to just be finished.
