HELLO?!!
Why didn't anybody tell me about this goodness before? wtf?
- DutchBoy0
wha?
- toastie0
i heard a song of theirs in a coffeshop and really liked it, then went and bought their album and totally hated it. Got tired of his voice really fast. Try Gillian Welch.

Dude, you gotta check out his first album... "the creek Drank the Craddle".. sits on my record player almost all day... been that way for a few months.
- timg0
Our Endless... is on my NT top albums 2004.
- jevad0
cool - I'll pick it up
- opiate0
the creek drank the cradle is incredible. The album is just the demos he recorded then sent out to sub-pop. The used those for the record.

yeah Iron & Wine has been in heavy rotation on my pod for a while, there isn't a bad song so it's great to play on shuffle.

i've mentioned them at least three times.
i saw them play and the wife of the lead singer was on stage shushing the audience and giving evil looks if you made any noise.
i was real drunk and had to leave the room.
- blackspade0
lol
Shhhhh shhhhhh
- DutchBoy0
listening to it now.
really not bad indeed!
- r_gaberz0
try
Sufjan Stevens
- _salisae_0
yeah - i felt like such a bad girl that night!
she's crochety!
- ricstultz0
sufjan stevens is amazing... get "greetings from Michigan"..wow. Another vinyl treasure of mine.
Will Oldham is also a master songcrafter...if you like Sam Beam/Iron and Wine... Wills work as Bonnie Prince Billy makes me shiver.
Oh and if you haven't heard Neil Young "On the Beach" from, I think 71, its also unreal.
needless to say Drake's "Pink Moon" is spine tingling.
