that ox tail is funky, i like it.
i usually use egiziano, but it only has one weight.

We might have talked about this before... the other mystery writers I've really gotten into are George Pelecanos (Washington DC) and Henning Mankell (Malmo, Sweden)-- both realitively large bodies of work centering around core group of characters that evolve through the years. Read em in order if you can-- I didn't.

ah.. yeah it was regarding mankell i recommended connolly. i'm swedish myself so i've read them. in order :-)... gonna check up pelecanos, never heard of him. Thanks!

the Pelecanos novels create a mutl-generational portrait of the culture of Greek immigrants and African Americans in DC, and by extension all of America-- they get a little "preachy" occasionally, but are really engrossing. Lots of music references. Pelecanos is also a producer and writer on "The Wire' the excellent HBO series.
