shit I do all the cooking, take care of both dogs. I'm lucky if my girl is awake when I get home.
Then when I chat with my Grandma she tells me about how she built up this huge recepie collection and how she used to make sure the house was spotless...all while I'm gathering my girls shoes and putting them by the stairs in hopes that she'll take them up to our room.

my wife been unemployed for two years. She cooks, cleans, shops, etc. Only thing she doesn't do is fold my laundry. It's nice but I work 10-12 hours a day so it's fair.
I would trade it all for her to get a job and bring home the extra income so we can buy a house or something.

leah...I wish it was 50/50...I'd be so happy.

wow, you guys need new gals. I split everything up with my lady... been that way for 7 years. If she leaves some shit lay out I just figure she was tired... and yup, the next day its gone.
She does give me grief about her always doing the laundry, but hey... I don't mind if I wear my jeans a few times before I wash em.

my wife is in school and is in class until 8:30 - 9:00 3 nights a week. When she's not in class she is studying, writing papers, etc often until late at night. Therefore I do the majority of the cooking, cleaning, day to day stuff.
One night she told me (almost in tears) that she feels so guilty that she's not pulling her weight with the housework. I told her, "It's not the amount of housework being done, it's the amount of work being done in the house. When's the last time you've seen me up at 2 am sweeping the kitchen?" ...she felt better.

"...remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours."
HA! That shit kills me. I agree, 50 / 50 is the way to go. Otherwise if you're picking up his/her slack, you might end up asserting all that pent up frustration for them Chernobyl style in a totally unrelated argument.

I'm getting a place with my girlfriend sometime in the near-ish future. I forwarded that on to her asking her to memorize it in preparation.
I'm also an ass. :|

if a girl is really in love she will put the man's needs before her own.
but he should also do that for her.
