...of all the video websites that the world and their wife are designing?
I really like some of them but I think that they need to be REALLY 'kin wicked for it to be exciting? Perhaps there are just too many of them around now? I really like the Volvo V50 site http://www1.volvocars.se/v50/fla… (by the way has anyone else spotted the design rip of this site?...totally blatant) Have they been done to death? Or is there still life in the old dog yet? Have Crash Zooms become a thing of the past, ALREADY???
Anyone, anyone...

There are very few GOOD uses of video in flash yet. Most of it treats the user as a passive entity, trying once again to turn the internet into TV and fucking it up in the process. or it's just there for eyecandy.
I know I've said it a million times, but the best use of captured motion in flash has to be the playMore site where the rat would run and follow your cursor and sniff links. brilliant.

I agree. I don't think the technology is advanced enough yet to deal with it. I think alot of people also use it to hide shit design. You know, wow them with video and they won't notice the crap.

Oh the technology is very much there, I just think people need to start using it for a real, innovative purpose instead of (like you said) just to cover up bad design and wow them.

As you might have guessed I'm a designer...hence the technological faux pas! Anyway I am glad someone agrees with me...everyone seems to be raving about it in the industry, I am not sure that I am convinced, certainly not yet anyway!
