Type about:config in the address bar, and then turbo in the filter. Then double click on the entry that says "browser.turbo.enabled" and set it to true.
That has made a huge difference iin speed, way more that the requests and pipelining settings did. NT PVN menus load with no delay at all.

From what I've heard they don't turn this shit on in the first place just so the browser is stable enough for any user.

shame newstoday looks shite on a mac (font isn't as well formatted) with firefox

FF's screwing up for me... there's an occasional unnecessary popup that says 'Document has no data' (but NT page still populates).
Also screws up my YahooMail by loading the first page instead of the last page (default).

I dont even have that first value in about:config..... I sorted and everything.....weird as hell......
