Planning on trip to Canada for some snowboarding n chillin!
So wich resort should i choose?partywise and slopewise!

no brainer dude... Whistler.
and i'm not just saying that cuz i live here... banff's party scene is pretty much non existent... plus you have to drive to the mtns... plus they have less skiable terrain... only thing banff has going for it is the elevation.
oh yeah, its also a year round sausage fest there.

I don't know what you're after on your trip, Banff has better Skiiing, but Whistler is the STD capital of Canada.

banff is much better, i dont know where you got your info from 2cent! :P there is no sausage fests there! i lived in banff for a summer, so no snow sports but the town is great and i have heard the skiing/snowboarding at lake louis is much nicer than whistler, plus the rocky mountains are totally magical and you run no risk of getting rained on!

Whistler hands down. My brother lives in Field (15 min from banff) and comes down to the coast to ski with me. Rockies + winter = fucking cold. Minus 40 c is not unheard of. Banff is also a small town, if you are into the party scene whistler is the place to be. As for the skiing / boarding Whistler whistler whistler. No contest, no brainer. I bet it wont even be that busy this winter cause the canadian peso has gone up against the murcan dollar. I hardle waited last year in line at all. plus you are closer to other good hills and amenities ie vancouver , the island , etc.

no info... from experience.
First... lets start with the terrain... Lake Louise is the best thing going for Banff... about 4000 acres compared to over 8000 acres at Whistler Blackcomb. Yes, the rockies are higher meaning a good chance of never seeing rain (i will give banff that).
Second... nightlife and the sausage fest that is downtown Banff... I believe my local friend who happens to be a female said the ratio was about 11 women for every man. Now some can argue the same for whistler but our ratio is closer to 6:1. be prepared to pay for the cab to drive your ass all over town... you can walk all over the town of Whistler and we have way more bars and a better vibe... Whistler is actually known for the partying.
Third... location, you can access both Whistler and Blackcomb from the village... approx. 50 feet seperate the two lifts. In Banff get ready for the 20-30mins bus/car ride to the resorts... and if you have no wheels get ready to pay about 15-20 bucks for the bus ride.
I could list more but those are the major ones.

Oh, as much as i read on the net so far Whistler seems to be a bit more tursit friendly and partywise happy'r! Just got back from the US & a bit of Canada /Niagra Falls! Dig Canada a hole lot! Seems in some way close to Sweden! No offence to all americanos out there! A hole lot to dig there too! Love the dollar price right now!
By the way when is the best time to go to whistler if you wanna get on the best party actioan and snowboarding scene !?

pretty much from xmas to march dude... more snow ususally early and late season with a bit colder and clearer skies in between.
biggest party in whistler goes down the 2nd week of April... WSSF... free concerts, tons of events and banging parties.

2cent u onto that one, I too went from Whsitler to Banff only 2 find a crappy bar called outta options and squat all else. I saw a moose wooo hoo. Whistler whereuwanna be and in summer, hey u can ride too

hahahah... if you are flying all the way to canada, and are here for a week, you probably have the budget to rent a car.which means you could slope both.

tru dat... you could drive from whistler to banff in aboot 9-11 hours depending on who's driving.
