wish I could be there.

how come the US is so lame when it comes to stuff like this? i gotta pay like $16 for a copy of computer arts and they get to have all the fun...
- RyanC_BD4D0
Well, if the London workshop goes well, we'll run a session in the States. Probably NYC or LA.
- moth0
wee bit too much money for me.
- RyanC_BD4D0
Can you get work to pay?
If you freelance, it'll be worth 10 times the amount that we're charging. We've basically taken everything we wish we wouldn've known before starting out on enterprise level sites, and going over it at the workshop. Plus you get the Web Developers Survival Kit, which is packed with hardcore, quality code that you can build your site on.
We've already got people signed up from the States! :)

I could get work to pay.
But they just paid for broadband and I'd rather have that.

I would go if there was one in San Francisco. Speaking of which, when is the next BD4D in SF?? I couldn't make it to the last one unfortunately.

Just ordered a copy of the "Web Developer's Survival Kit" and looking forward to reading it. Keep us posted if you plan on having an NYC workshop. I'd definelty drive down for that...
- spiralstarez0
so you can order the web developer survival kit only or what?
would be cool to go to, but too far from Vancouver.
- cosmo0
looking forward to seeing guys here in US.

A nyc site workshop would be great

Bring it to any West Coast City and 2 of us would sign up from Panagrafik.

Thanks for the support fellas. I think it's going to be a valuable workshop for the attendees.
Just so everyone knows, we haven't decided yet if we're going to sell the Web Developer's Survival Kit seperately. We'll keep you posted.
If you guys know any mates who would like to go, please pass the link on: www.carsonworkshops.com

Oh yeah, regarding BD4D SF 002, we hope to do another one soon. We need to find a local curator who's interested in running it. Any takers?

How about putting Nick in charge of the next BD4D SF just because he's so fucking hot!
- nick0
yeah!!
(not really)
- IRNlun60
Damn I meant to say...
"PHP MySQL Website Programming: Problem - Design - Solution" book, not the survival kit."
* hangs head in shame
- mike0
what about the book IRN?
the workshop has nothing to do with the book.
- IRNlun60
exactly. the book I bought has nothin to do with the show but it was co-written by the speakers at the workchop.
- mike0
okay I get it... you ordered the book not the kit...
btw- a lot of the things covered in the book will be covered properly at the workshop... including all new source code for generic application builds.
for the book we only had 6 weeks to write it over the holidays, so it was somewhat rushed together... there is good and useful stuff in there, but I would recommend doing a lot of things differently.
