Hi all.
Do any of you know any good sites for tutorials for good magazine layout grids etc...
I've done lots and lots of print work, but not much in the way of multi-page docs (this mag is 32+ pages).
We all know grids are the way forward, but I need hints and tips!
I'm using InDesign CS, by the way.
Thanks in advance.

Not online, but there's a myriad of good books out there on this subject, especially this one:

Thanks mr_snuggles...
Looks good. If they ship to the UK (which I'm guessing they do) I will probably get myself a copy of that...

Also, not very technical but a great resource on mag design is this one:

Cheers guys...
Anyone got any online links to stuff that I can look at straight away?
I'm so impatient...
I know Computer Arts Special did a whole issue on magazine design, but never got a look at it... bit basic too maybe?
Post thost links guys and gals... post 'em!

use rows and columns to create divisions that correspond to your baseline grids, and then imagine your pub as having transparent pages so that when you see everything at once it looks orderly, but not boring

I've been expermenting with baseline grids and document grids...
I know the theory behind baseline grids, but what exactly is there point?!
I mean, depending on the font size you are using, thing rarely line up with it...
Excuse my thick-ness, I'm sure it's pretty obvious. It's been a looong day...

if you can work out your document grid so it always falls on the baseine grid, everything lines up
