Dissapearing space

  ANy of you guys no why? I had a large file 4gb on my hp laptop hard drive. I shift deleted it but have not recovered the space any one knows why?

  you might have that stored somewhere else as well. I would reboot a bunch of times.

  It could be hidden files made by your system recovery. There is no way to get rid of them that I know of short of formatting the disk and turning system restore off.
