My fiance is graduating this semester from journalism school and has a few big interviews coming up this week. She's asked me to design something creative for her to use as a portfolio at her interviews. Essentially a journalism portfolio is just a set of tear sheets like a print portfolio. I'm wondering if anyone out there has some nice examples of creative print portfolios?
Thanks in advance.

c'mon and help a brotha out... what do you guys take to interviews with you to show off your print work? I'm just looking for a little inspiration here.

most peeps have a digital portfolio, so it's hard to find links that showcase work in a physical format. i've just got a black leather 11x17 book i keep in a big brushed aluminum case. don't really know what you are looking for.

I use something similar to what you have john. I was basically just wondering if anyone out there has found a more creative way to bind/house their print when they go to interviews. I like my work to stand out, so my portfolio is nothing fancy, but this is going to be primarily newspaper clips - nothing too spicy about that.

Make an oversized note pad with the spiral at the top (like the pocket sized ones detectives take notes on) and when you open it, it can be used as an easel - and paste the articles to the lined paper.

spendogg has an idea there.

a supermarket tabloid style format might be interesting. just large format folded over and stuff. put all sorts of outrageous claims about her abilities on there, maybe some sex scandals...
