Client nightmare

seeking advice here please:
I have a client who I have basically done everything for - id, web, ads, collateral ,etc
early on we decided on a type family that would be appropriate for most of the copy in these pieces, though she didn't have the money to buy the font at the time - i owned the font, and unfortunately WAS somewhat close as an aquaintance ( mistake number one ) to this person, so agreed after pressure, to use my fonts when supplying to printers, with the understanding that she would buy it later when she had the money readily available
we have since had to stop working together because of her personality and how she treats me, though in doing so she of course is saying that in addition to getting the files for id, bus cards, brochures, etc. that she has rights to now get the type family from me, since they "are in the layouts"
she claims to have talked to other "important designers in the community" who have "adviced" her that she is right, and that obtaining the rights to the print pieces means that she has rights to the font, and that i should i supply the font files to her
i am trying to do what i believed was industry- standard and explain to her that she needs to aquire this type family for herself if she is to take over management of the files and be able to view them correctly
and advice as to how to handle this, or similar experiences ?

Mr. Remote would probably know. But if nobody answers this question, the typophile forums can usually produce answers for these font rights questions.
