what's the best way? just to go through the tutorials or is there a nice internet address someone can point me towards?
really would rather not buy a book but will if i have to.

I never understood designers wanting to learn Maya. It's so heavy duty and so difficult to learn. Innit easier to just use 3D Studio Max? Unless you're gonna do heavyduty CGI or film effects and animation

ah forgot about lightwave, i used the V5.0 years ago. today i'm only using 3ds max, v7.0 is imo the best 3d app around. (not mentioning XSI)
