The other designer must have been inspired by our concept since our proofdesign of the B's were presented and handed to them on hardcopy on a meeting in the summer of 2003 at their office.

EUR 100 per hour. and 1000 for the idea and 2000 using this without our permission. Total of 8000.

take it to court and see what happens..
- WoutWijtenburg0
Would you guys accepted this is this happened to you? What would YOU do?
- mevsthem0
i think you got paid for your efforts and the other designer got paid for making those efforts better. you shouldn't be getting credit for there new logo you did not make it. sad if u put it in your portfolio.
- WoutWijtenburg0
For the last time: I did NOT get paid for this. They asked me to design and they would pay if they liked it.
They said the did not like it in 2003. Now 2004 the used the idea and/or PAID another designer to work it out.
I got nothing. But a headdace.

see, that a hole differnt story
you get paid if they like it.. and you agreed to it, they didn¨t like it and found another guy who could pull the job better..move on..

dude, that seems rather heavy even for a tolerant people like the dutch.
1000 euros for an idea is just absurd. not only your idea is not so new as you'll piss your client so much as to come empty handed from that meeting.
get real, you just did a proposal... it's the way things work. you're already lucky the guy wants to settle things up. don't get greedy.
- mevsthem0
You should always ask for a down payment [always] you should get paid for a downpayment [in my opinion] since they didn't use your concepts.
- WoutWijtenburg0
Hello. They DID like it! They USED the concept.
They liked the concept anyway.
The other guy has used my idea because they said him to use the fucking idea...!!!

"dude, that seems rather heavy even for a tolerant people like the dutch."
hahaha, we are not so tolerant anymore.. one bad word and ddzzzzziing!!: knife in your chest!
- WoutWijtenburg0
What would be a real price to settle then? Please tell me what is reasonable to you guys then?
- mevsthem0
I just used the ignore feature in nt for the first time. you try to help someone and they yell. all the advice your asking for has been given to you move the F#$@%$#@%K on.
- WoutWijtenburg0
Please ignore me. Or just do not read this tread if you have nothing positive to say man.
Someone thinks whats reasonable?

if your rate is $100/hr, you must be a pretty good designer, so why did you agree to a project that would only pay if they liked the idea? and then put over a week's work into it. I mean, I can see your beef with them, but I think you're TSOL on this one. Live and learn.
- WoutWijtenburg0
I agreed on the no-cure-no-pay thing because i have designed and got paid for another designjob for them. It was a friendly thing. The were not so big as now as they where then, so i did it as kind of friendly service and pay afterwards. I got money for the other job. Thats why i agreed.

what Gorbie said.
- WoutWijtenburg0
Thanks nick

man, you're raising your fee just because they are big now??
if you really want my op charge to cope with the friendly agreement you did back then and assess the real value of your work. getting a buddahbuddha reverse initials is NOT something bound to leave anyone in awe. 600 the most.
or, come out of this as the nice guy, and just charge him for settled work without any right to clumsy proposals. that would be new.
btw, i charge 1000 for any counselling... i know you understand the trouble...
- WoutWijtenburg0
It is the fcking principle... i feel stolen and damaged by this corp.
They are making hunderds of thousands a month using my symbol. Would you raise your fee?
