The Netherlands really sucks lately. Clients are becoming more and more uninterested in 'real design' and just want quick and easy shite like templatemonster-esque solutions.
there is no challenge anymore.
the cost of living is rising by the day here and houses are becoming ridiculously expensive.
then it seems like everyone in this country is stressed all the time, always in a rush.
and there is jsut a growing intolerance here.
today for the first time i have really thought what it would be like to live and work somewhere else.
i have already been to antwerp, but the crime is way to high and the police is corrupt and too much paperwork for anything. nice people though.
what would be the best place for a creative to live nowadays?
Toronto?

it is jsut that i heard nothing but good about it lately..
- DutchBoy0

lets all stop designing and buy a beach house together somewhere and surf , and eat salmon all day
sharing our war stories from back in the day when we used to design
oops my fantasies going public again

sounds like you're describing the US.
i'm having a rather frustrating day. I'm thinking of moving to the carribean and selling cheeseburgers.

Stay away from everywhere in between Ontario and B.C.

But it could be hard to get started... not a lot of job openings.
Parlez-vous francais?

gruntt = jimmy buffet?
- DutchBoy0
yeah we could run a few joints around the beachhouse..
a hamburgerjoint, a coffeeshop, a cocktailbar..
but who do we rent to do our logo and website eh? i mean it should not be too expensive and the logo needs to be real big!! hehe..
- gruntt0
gorbie - hahaha. not much of a fan but that lifestyle would suit me well.
- gruntt0
Dutchboy - we could do our own logos and web work, we'll be our own clients.
- DutchBoy0
ok, then gruntt...
but i jsut wanted to be in the role of a client myself now..
i mean if i was to turn my back to design and work in the cocktailbar i want to see some poor little guys sweat for me on their little iMacs hehehe..
