ok so wot i wanna do is make a section of a photo frosted...so its asif its had a piece of tracing paper placed over it. does anyone know of a way to do this in photoshop? i kno that in illi u can just make a white square and make it transparent but is ther an easy way to do it in ps?
any help would be great, ta!

well you answered your own question. in ps it's the exact same thing you do in illy already.

yeah but i ment is ther a way of automaticaly doin it? like a filter? so that i dont have to do loads of things to get the same effect

just add a layer with white and change the opacity of that layer. that's all there's too it.
