i've been using SubEthaEdit and BBedit until now but to be honest i think there's a better app for creating HTML pages out there. I miss a button that helps you insert the image code (with height and witdh etc - will reduce the typing) for you and for example a table generator. Also the ability to launch the site in your external browser quickly. Any ideas?
Btw, I've been reading the "best os x apps" and i've been googling it so don't give me that crap. j/k.

bbedit has the button's you want, in the html pallete from the markup menu...
skedit has some autocomplete features...
dreamweaver has some good button, but man it runs slow...
really, i am in the same boat as you...i been thinking of taking smultron and learning cocoa and trying to add the things i want...

I think snippets or macros is what you are looking for.
as for the browser thing - why not keep the window open and refresh - oldskool styleee..?

yea myobie bbedit is ok but it just aint the one if you know what i mean. i was coding on a pc before and was working with webwriter.dk (free!) which is plain simple but yet fast and effective. i spoke with the author but there wont be an mac version.. too bad.
tomkat> i am, but the button would be nice sometimes :)

I've been using Taco as a secondary editor (beside Dreamweaver) and it's a great little app. You can open documents, make your edits, and close it all in the time it takes Dreamweaver to initialize.
I do believe I linked it in the OSX apps thread if SOMEone had BOTHERED to read it... ;)
