do I have to say it for a third time, that I have a couple of muslim friends? Because I do, and they are good people.

From the same post:
"...Religion, I believe, does NOT exist for the purposes of criticizing the beliefs of other religions... "
"...Anyways I just think the muslim religion is ridiculously hypocritical,... "
:)
The smily face is an amazing way to make evil things look like something fun, cute and innocent.

This is part of the problem. They are different and they don't really hang around in pubs for obvious reasons... I've live in London, and apart from the dudes in corner shops I have nothing to do with them. They simply don't move in the same circles... which I guess causes a certain amount of suspicion along with the Daily Mail.

I can see how they want to leave their countries in search of better opportunities, which is why they want to bring their mosques and traditions with them, but what about the people from other countries who want to go over there and help the muslim countries get better? There are thousands of foreigners in these middle-eastern countries helping them progress in various industries and what's the thanks that they get? They get captured by a bunch of rebels and get their heads cut off.

.. as long as they at least try to conform to the society in which they live or move into..
That seems to be a bit of a problem down here (and that's gently put).

You are generalising muslims by what you see on tv. Now that's bad.

i'm looking forward to this (mainly because I'm fascinated by islamic art, typography and architecture which is one of the sessions)

oh shut up.
How much generalising in one thread can you do?
If you did know anything about what you are spouting on about you would know there is a massive swell of condemnation across the muslim world against beheadings and kidnapping as well as the extremists.

and how many people got their heads chopped off before B*** decided to go over and sort Iraq out?
- fifty500
Generalization? I am not saying that all muslims are doing this, it's the extremists. Sure, the government doesn't officially support the extremist movements and they may be doing things to stop these kinds of movements, but it is still true that it is illegal to build a christian building on muslim ground. that is a fact.

(nov 17 04, 02:11)So it must really piss them off then that they are being 'liberated' by christians
- contra0
Isn't it illlegal to build on Christian ground unless it's been deconsecrated?
- rabattski0
actually those extremists also did cut off heads from muslims so the religion grounds they use aren't there. which is just another example where religion is being used as a reason to get a point across. and there lies the root of it all. i differ with the fact that if there wouldn't be religion there wouldn't be war. religion is used as a reason. the actual underlying motivations are greed, envy, power etc. imho the only way we could have a world without a war is that 100% of the world uses 100% of the resources. and not 20% uses 80%.

it f*cking shits me so much that christianity is portrayed as so righteous. Just listen to some of the stuff coming out of the Vatican.
Hey, look at some of the stuff coming out of the United States of JesusLand.Religion sucks balls.
And I have a headache
- rabattski0
there are christian churches in arabic countries. there are also christian muslims.

morning! anyone fancy a cup of tea?

regarding the german news. it's odd that although there is a seperation between state and religion in western countries this stuff is initiated by politics. which is ridiculous. if you ask me all religious holidays should be canceled and sorted out by the believers themselves with their employers to get a day off or not. this will make a country totally religious unbiased / neutral.

yeah! ban christmas
