I have a client that is using primary red/blue/yellow in thier logo. they've giving me the PANTONE info but, since I'm only dealing with their website, there is an obvious difference in the actual colors.
How do I explain to her that the colors on the website logo arent't going to look exactly like the one's she's using for thier print logo or even the pantone colors. She's highly anal and I have a feeling she'll dispute what would be said.

have you got the thickest client ever?
...otherwise do a highly scientific presentation and hold the pantone colour swatches next to the computer screen and get her to write down what she observes.

maybe try pulling the logo from their website. then in photoshop use the eyedropper tool and get the cmyk mix for it.
then find the cmyk mix for that color in pantone's brown SWOP book. then compare the color from the brown SWOP book to the color in pantone's green coated/uncoated book

tell her it is impossible to go and color correct every single monitor of every individual who sees the site, and that wouild cost extra, but you would be willing to do it for a nominal fee. if she has to pay more, she's will be less anal...
