I have a request to record a live webinar - which is seen through a browser window.
Is there software available that would allow you to record it?

I believe that on a PC you can do so through Sony's line of recording products such as Sound Forge. No credit to them as Mediasite from Sonic Foundry developed that technology: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/ I'm not sure what SF is up to these days. But they are in on that same technology, just twisted it a bit.

Tegrity, which I have also used in the past: http://www.tegrity.com is also a nice tool for this style stuff. But through a web browser, I'm not so sure man.

Would Macromedia Captivate work? I know records actions, but will it capture live video?

Anyone ever use BB FlashBack?
- MX_OnD0
Captivate won't work for that.
If your budget is big enough go for Breeze....
- JazX0
I'm not sure Breeze has this capibilty. Captivate doesn't have that type of thing I think. What about the crap from Robosh*t. http://www.ehelp.com
- JazX0
whoooops, looks like Macromedia completely bought them out. A payday for someone. But you know that Robo-Capture application they used to put out.

Captivate is the new RoboDemo JazX....
And Breeze can do it I think...both of you have mail :)
- JazX0
hmmmmm, well that's news to me, they must have taken that same technology. Are you in on the e-Learning MX_OnD?
- MX_OnD0
sorry man, had to run, but you get the deal, eh?
- JazX0

I ended up using BB FlashBack.
Free demo - and it works really well - you can record audio/video together or seperately.
