i don't know if this applies to UK but i usually go to travel agency operated by japanese people to fly to japan -- they seem to buy bulk tickets to japan therefore you get a lot more discount than price offered on online flight arrangement websites.

yeah there is the Japan centre in London that do that, I'll have a look at the weekend.
