Normally I do everything in FCP on a mac, but I have been instructed to build a PC edit system that is easy to use for a faculty multi-media suite.
Last time I used Adobe Premier, it was not very user friendly. Has this changed? What is the best PC software for beginner editing?

this would be for DV only editing...
Although most faculty have PHD's.. I would tear my hair out teaching them even final cut pro. I need something basic, but somewhat functional.
