hey, anybody ever have their .eps clipping paths just not show up in InDesign
i can create new ones with the Clipping Path tool in InDesign after finding the "edges" of the .eps i am bringing in, but thought ( perhaps it's just been too long for me ) that InDesign fully recognized preset PS clipping paths when you place files
???
thx for any help

i think it's just an indesign preview issue. if you were to place the clipped image and then export or print it should work well.

yeah or just save it as a native illustrator file. people seem to forget that indesign supports .ai and .psd files. worked for me...

I don't know how bad this new practice im doing is, but not that ID supports PSD and AI files (as to quark), I just place those files in rather than creating tifs and eps. I don't think thats a common practice, so I only do it on small my smaller projects. Good? Bad?

Are you sure you have the path designated as a clipping path in ps? It should work.
I have had that problem in Illy tho... where iut only recognizes a clipping path from a tif, not eps.
I'm sure tif will work in ID if you start freaking.

once in awhile I get the thing where it shows the clipping path, but the picture on the inside looks shifted over. Prints out okay, though. I can't remember what I did to get it to display correctly.
