I went to one party ever due to diehard friends who insisted it would change my life.
Walked in, saw a bunch kids dressed like they were either 5 years old, a hip hop tennis player, of a fruitcake from mars...
Watched as they danced like a drunk chicken all facing a series of lights and the DJ as if the space ship had landed.Got a blowjob from a chic on X who claimed to feel my arora.
Then left to go catch a couple bands playing in the next town instead.
Been to the Limelight a few times also to sell drugs to these fools and get more blowjobs...
If anything at all it made me laugh that people took dancing to loops so seriously.
But to each there own.

Dude, after reading that long post you made, OMG. Brought back memories! Jesus, I feel bad for the folks who never got to experience the feeling of actually being a part of something huge, and beyond all imagination, and totally real. I was very into the rave scene in the LA area for years, and went to 2 raves this year...but nothing like I used to.
If you've never popped 2 or 3 pills and danced the night away with the greatest people on earth to the greatest music on earth, you cant even talk down on us that did, you dont even know what it was like.
Drugs arent for everyone, but e is the greatest thing man has access to. ;D

ps. the best part about it wasnt the drugs, it was the people, like he said above. Hundreds of thousands of actual GOOD people packed into a wonderful venue, is quite an experience. Especially when everyone outside is biased people and bigots.

most of your hundreds of good people are now washed up drug addicts... I know a few of them still- always throwing the next big party- always looking for a place to crash and some money for veggie burgers.
The Rave culture was exploitation of youth and music...
It took suburban kids to a "hip" prom party, sold them overpriced tickets and overpriced drugs- sure there was feelings of unity- you were all in it together- being materialized.
