I am getting mine tomorrow but my question is... Is it possible to connect the iPod directly to the USB port on a mixer and save mixes straight to the iPod? Has anybody ever tried this?
Just seems a really easy way to get my mixes into a digital format.
Cheers for your time!!!

i dont see why not since you can use the pod as a hard drive

No.
iPod doesn't record so the mixer would have to be able to record and save the audio going through it as an mp3, then save that into the iPods invisible music folder to be able to listen to it directly from the iPod.

get a minidisc player and plug that in to ur mixer. Record from there, then put on ur computer, change the format from there to mp3, then put on ur ipod.
easy as pie.

I borrowed a MiniDisc a while back and managed to plug into the sound board of a Greg Brown show, and got a SWEET recording, two sets on two discs.

Why not connect and record straight into your pc with soundforge or something?
