This is just a mock up for a microsite i'm working on. Not quite too content with it yet...hopefully I can improve on it with the help of your critiques. Thanks.

yes, the diamond plate needs to go, as well as the textured background.. the type of metal that is your theme on this site is the smooth chrome feel on a driver.. ..so stick with it?
i like the single tone, but more contrast would be great. it reads very tame to me, although i know its not.
i think you're 75% there....

ok im not feelin on that chrom. It looks to thrown together. Try and spread the love and work tih some different colors. I know u can do it GO GO GO
