If you compare the LCD screens that are on these sites you will see that "1st site" has an LCD that is flush square to the viewer, while the 2nd site has a angled LCD that runs a video. Does anyone know what program has the feature to skew a video like that and then have it play? just like the 2nd site?
1st site:

You could do that directly in flash no problem.

you can skew the video so the video is on an angle?

yes.

if so.. thats awesome..
any idea what the effect is called so i can run a search in the help section in flash and get some info or a tutorial on it.

just make the small vid a movie clip... then transform it.
easy as that

holy crap.. if thats it.. then i'll go "mad" but mad in a good way... i'll give it a go and see what happens....

You can also skew video (but not perspective I think?) within QuickTime Pro (if that helps)

Can't you just skew MCs in Flash? Can't find anything about perspective-distorting an MC, or am I missing something?

You can bend skew/objects in many different applications

you can create the video in a program like combustion or after efects, and export it as .mov and transform it in a flv in flash.

I tried "free transforming" the shape and when I drag a coner to give me perspective it just goes back to its original state... ... any ideas?
- lhd0
I guess I'll just keep trying
- lhd0
Ok.. I skewed it, but now i have to drop one corner so it looks like natural perspective... ugh!

Is there a reason why I can't use the "Distort" or "Envelope" features when i'm trying to adjust the corners of this movie?
any ideas?

You own a "design studio" and you're this clueless? No, you cannot distort the video to that perspective in Flash. Get After Effects and use its transform tools for a video file. And the monitor thing, you shouldn't even have had to ask. It's just a basic overlay with the screen's content masked out.

Cfunk,
you're not very nice.
Thanks to everyone else who gave me some advice.
and no.. I don't own a design studio.. I'm a one man show.. and I speicalize in print and basic web.
