To put it in perspective, a 3.2ghz celeron processor could maybe keep up with a 1ghz G4.
But dude, don't buy RAM from apple, thats just crazytalk.
try OtherWorldComputing. I just bought a full 1gb stick of RAM for an iMac for 205.

so get the mac. man people need to start making there own decisions.....

Hold on, Celeron is the white trash chip, so don't even be comparing to that.

get a asus its good but lower quality monitors are built in but good cost anyway...get a dell. there cheap and getting nicer some compare to the power book

cool, its a tool buy it use it don't love it.

It's a shame that a (cough) "respected" chip maker even produces that chip. I would say a 1.5ghz G4 can handle the same workload as a 2.8ghz pentium 4, provided you arent running Norton and all the other shit needed to keep Windows running.

to help;
i spend a lot of time staring at my machine. i like it to be pretty. it makes me feel good about working on it.
i dont think i would enjoy working on a pc nearly as much.

cool nick. i know nicer design to a product can get more sales, but when im on the pc im looking at the monitor not the pc and i use it as a tool only to get work done. so it dosn't matter to me. there both good tools, your just paying more for one cause of its design which isn't wrong i just think for computers it dosn't matter as much, latops yeah , but dell has ones that look like PB so there new.

if you use it at school, buy through the apple store for education. it's like $400 cheaper. and buy the ram elsewhere.

For all you guys who swear PCs are cheaper than Macs:

BTW, Consumers Digest just came out with an article with 59,000 reasons to consider a Mac, and how the new Intel chips aren't at all spectacular.
I have both Macs and PCs, but when it comes to notebooks, I say Mac.
- Help0
when it comes to notebooks i say no, my sister keeps getting them and after 1 or 2 or 3 years they suck, anyway i don't think laptops are there yet with the heating and battery problems its stupid unless u need it for travel. its nice to be able to go portable, every laptop has problems pc or mac get one ur comfortable with and like period.
- Help0
press buy u want it get it no computer is perfect al problems happen on every platform just get what u want.
