glad i stumbled upon this one too..
hey liquid..just got a possible gig to revamp an online app...
are there any places online where one can see some good design of this sort...
i've done it before, a few times, but it's been awhile....was hoping to see something fresh and current..any links would be appreciated..and will be payed back in karmic bliss

the best thing to do is to go to all of the financial sites and check out the screenshots....
if you tell me what industry I could point you in the right direction

the online app is intended for finance..
essentially the app is to be used by ceo's and other top dogs..
to keep track of day to day business opps, finances, shit like that..basically something joe-blow ceo that doesn't use a computer too much can check his company stats online type deal..
