Mac notepad wanted!

Hi peeps I know alot of you guys here are maccers so I am not trying to start the mac\/pc battle...
just need some help...I happen to like writing my code by hand I have been trying to edit and create html files with text edit and it has been giving me kittens.
anyone knows of a simple mac based text editor that would work like notepad on windows? please help...
I have to be working on macs at the office until I get back my laptop and I cant get anything done..

Well., just look in the application folder, you should have NOTEPAD, and there is 2 more, that come with osx, I cant remember their names now.

TextEdit if you're running OSX. Make sure the format you're writing in is (Simple Text).

Thanks guys...I got this html editor called html face X just the thing I wanted.

Text Edit that comes with OSX does it. Search for the menu option "Make Plain Text"
