    just a further comment on madlib and mf doom, they got be back into hip hop...madlib is awesome, he made an album called "the unseen" which is about a fake persona who has a wierd voice, u must check out this album out it sounds like nothing u ever heard. and mf doom is one of the most clever lyricists you'l ever hear, think of kool keith except he makes more sense. both artists collaborated wonderfully on "madvillain". one of the samples used was off a frank zappa track. sums it up.

    no what sums it up, is madlib even made up a fake band called "yesterday's new quintet" where he couldnt really play instruments, but played them anyway, and mixed it with beats. he's all over the place, and records about 60 mintues of music everyday and have vaults of stuff not released, like zepplin covers and stuff.

    i'm not saying you'l like everything he makes, but i think is a modern example of how experimentation is not lost in hip hop.
