Imagine you have to work for years in the same office and you are allowed to have one framed image on your wall, would it be a photograph or an illustration?
i am asking this as i am currently making my mind up for a client here. People need to stare at it (photo or illy) everyday.
what would you choose?

illustration
- airey0
could you change it weekly perhaps?

some art by this guy
because its really inspiring (even while its depressing)
- DutchBoy0
arrgh, no.
no witty/stupid client comments please.
it's either photo or illy.
no middle road. k?

I think i'd want something with texture. So this could go either way but I would probably opt for a photopraph. Landscape preferably. I'm sure I could see something different in it everyday depending on my mood. A illustration however, would probably work in the reverse and invoke a mood.

good point, Gilt. exactly what i am thinking.
i'll give you a clue though..
the illy or photo will involve people.. either a portrait or people in action.....

photo of an illustration?

this is going nowhere..
consider this thread lost&derailed..

I'd go photo. Nothing captures human emotion better. And if we're looking at a picture of another human, we're going to read something off of their expression. Something we identify with and that's going to change with every person that looks at the photo.
