hello. I'm doing an animation for widescreen in Flash.
I'm building it at 1024 x 576
(16:9) but I was wonderinghow you get around the wider pixels on a plasma. It stretches the movie at the edges. Is there a formula to get around this?

bump?

check for pixel pitch on the plasma..
recent plasma corrects this but older ones dont.
meaning that the pixel stretches horizontally. so its not perfect square.
also depending on what kind of screen you have, the color might now come out correctly.
look at my site and look at the color tester that i made.. i also made pitch tester, font tester and other testers...

best suggestion that i can say is that publish it for broascast quality and output it as video.
yeah i forgot the input devices can also effect the display

thanks MrD. Good advice.
Has to be Flash, because they want to 'use it' for presentations too...

you know one time, i made a script to squeeze each end and made it adjustable..
that worked fine.. little hard to stare at the screen all day and wondering if you are going mental..
